Not all areas of a state have grapes orchards that are open to the public. If you know of any others, please tell us using the add a farm form!

Remember to always check with the farm's own website or Facebook page before you go - or call or email them if they don't have a website or Facebook page. Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with the farm directly before you go! If I cannot reach them, I DON'T GO!

Open: weekends beginning the last weekend of September; on Saturdays we open at 9am and close at dark and on Sundays we open at 12 noon and close at dark. Click here for a map and directions. Some GPS systems, including Mapquest, use "North River Road" instead of "State Route 307". We have Niagara, Concord, and Catawba . All varieties of U-Pick are 35 cents a pound. Niagara is a white grape. Niagara are not recommended for wine making after they are ripe. Concord are excellent for jelly; good flavor and high in pectin. Catawba are a late season red grape.

For picking updates and their harvest schedule, We currently grow over 35 varieties of apples, 8 varieties of pears (mostly Bartlett), 18 varieties of peaches, Reliance and Concord grapes, Italian plums, blackberries and raspberries.     Ransom Sage Farm Facebook page. APPLES: We provide the bag and your pick the fruit. We will have mostly Honeycrisp available for picking beginning mid Aug - Sept until they are all harvested. Rosalee apples for U-Pick Oct 12 until sold out. RED RASPBERRIES: Raspberries are able to fruit the first year after planting. We have a good supply at this time through October. Until a hard freeze. GRAPES: We are planting Concord, Catawaba, and Niagara grapes as well as wine making varieties. This first planting will be small but we plan to expand. They will begin production in 2019. BLUEBERRIES: Our blueberry bushes will need a few years to grow before they will produce quantities. Grape picking tips

  • Pick ripe: Grapes do not ripen after they are picked
  • Appearance: Look for heavy, firm grapes
  • To harvest grapes, carefully cut the grape clusters from the vine using pruning shears. Be careful not to bruise or damage the fruit or the surrounding vines.
