There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm
They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately.
(of course not all states and areas have both. And following the
festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about
making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and

Community Strawberry Festivals

Crawfordsville Annual Strawberry Festival
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday every June (check their website for other year's dates) June 14-16, 2024, Friday 11 am to 10 pm, Saturday 10 am to 10 pm, Sunday 10 am to 4 pm
Crawfordsville, IN. This annual festival was held every summer in early
June at Lane Place Grounds, Downtown Crawfordsville. Friday and Saturday
music, You bring the lawn chair and we will provide the fun! Come
celebrate great food, a fantastic setting, legendary entertainment with
small town charm and plenty of close parking for easy access. So grab
your lawn chair and plan to spend the entire weekend with us. For three days, the grounds of the historic Lane Place is transformed into a strawberry
themed festival featuring food, fun, arts & crafts and top notch entertainment for all ages. It's truly a family friendly atmosphere designed to bring
back those fond memories of a time when the pace of life was slower and families were able to spend time relaxing together.

- Historic Newburgh at Old Lock and Dam - Memorial Day weekend on Sunday;

Join us in downtown Newburgh as we shut down the road in between the Old Lock and Dam and Allen Family Amphitheater and host an afternoon of family fun!
Park at Newburgh Elementary and ride the free trolley to and from the riverfront. HNI will sell Strawberry Shortcakes from the Old Lock and Dam. There
will be entertainment in the Amphitheater including the Boom Squad. There will be a Craft Market on the west side of the Lock and Dam. There will be
food booths including Pizza Revolution, The Cheese Queen and Just One More. There will be rides, games and activities for kids. Halfpot tickets will be
sold and we will also sell raffle tickets for a Basket Raffle Auction. Proceeds benefit Historic Newburgh.

- Indianapolis Annual Christ Church Cathedral Women's Strawberry Festival - early June - Thursday typically in early June; Serving from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (as long as supplies last)

info@cccindy.org. The popular Strawberry Festival takes place in
front of Christ Church Cathedral on Monument Circle in Downtown
Indianapolis. Strawberry Festival utilizes more than 300 volunteers and
serves an estimated six tons of strawberries and 18,000 homemade
shortcakes. More than 95 percent of the Strawberry Festival proceeds
goes directly to local, national and international not-for-profit
outreach groups. In 2016 we gave away over $63,000 in grants.
Bi-annually, our board recommends deserving applicants, which must be
approved by our members. Serving under tents on the circle begins at 9 am. and ends at 7 p.m. The "Works": shortcake, strawberries, ice cream
and whipped topping for sale; however, orders can be made a la carte,
with or without any of the toppings for a bit more. They also have a website, Indy Strawberry

- Irvington United Methodist Church Strawberry Festival - late-June

Metamora Strawberry Daze

Metamora, Indiana. Look for the big Strawberry tent
in the middle of town where you can enjoy an early summer treat. Sweet
strawberry shortcake loaded with yummy strawberries and topped with whip
cream or ice cream. Strawberry Pie eating contest Saturday at 3 pm
$5.00 entrance. Egg toss, corn hole, one legged bag race, sack race,
marbles and more. Sponsored by the Merchants Association of Metamora.

FIRST WEEKEND IN JUNE - typically held in early June Spring has sprung, strawberries are ripe. Come to Indiana's Canal Town and enjoy fresh strawberry shortcake with

Rosedale is located near the west Indiana state line and is ten miles
north of Terre Haute or south of Rockvile, six miles east of US Highway
41, and 75 miles east of Indianapolis. Using the map link, we in Florida
Township are on its bottom end.

cards. All weekend are an 1850's authentic medicine wagon show seen at
the SuperBowl and Olympics and a Guinness Book bullwhip expert with up
whips up to fifty feet. Saturday has three bicycle tours, eight category
talent contest, 10 am parade, pampered pet show, children's pageants
from birth to eleven. Sunday has firemen's breakfast to 11, an
old-fashioned tent revival and more concerts. Classic cars, trucks,
motorcycles and even heaps will compete for prizes. Grand finale is the
Midwest's big solid gold close harmony of Trouble and Company.
Strawberry Festival joins to celebrate 150 years of town incorporation
and 200 years of county settlement, three events at once. A good family
outing, with KidZone activities, games for all ages, pioneer era and
Civil War living history camps, fifteen hours of free music from early
dobra through Big Band to today's classic and solid gold, nationally
rated sideshows, and lots more. Always are sold and raffled fresh
berries and our renowned freshly baked strawberry shortcakes piled high

Strawberry Festival has been an annual tradition in the beautiful
community of Starlight, Indiana for 40 years. It's an incredible event
created to bring the family together to enjoy the day and support the
beautiful community of Starlight and St. John's Catholic Church. At the
festival you can enjoy a variety of food including our famous Build Your
Own Strawberry Shortcake Bar. And you won't want to miss our Homemade
Chicken Dinner, just like your Grandma used to make! You will also
enjoy live music while you peruse the craft booths, play classic
festival games and wheels, enjoy a refreshing strawberry smoothie and
let the kids play on the assortment of bouncers and the soap box derby!
It's every year on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and an event

Sugar Grove Elementary School, 4135 W Smith Valley Rd, Greenwood,
Indiana 46142. 2019 was the 27th annual strawberry festival
with strawberries, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ, ribeye sandwiches, Ham
radio operators, Indy RC south, kids bicycle rodeo, music, tools of the
trade demonstrations, fire trucks displays, food and strawberry
shortcakes. Firework show at 10 pm on Saturday.
Farm Strawberry Festivals
In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.
See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them
until the end of May). They usually have PYO strawberries then, too.

Strawberry Madness Festival - If you love sweet, juicy, red,
fresh-picked strawberries, you are going to love all the delicious treats
and strawberry fun at this year's Strawberry Madness Festival! Stop by and
pick a ton of produce and have a fun day at the farm! We have made a lot of
changes to our farm and can't wait for you to see it! Meet the character,
Strawberry Shortcake. We offer strawberry picking at our
Hobart location; Strawberry season is during the month of June; Weather can
affect the season greatly so the season can be as short as two weeks or as
long as 5 weeks; If you are planning to pick, some time during the first two
weeks of June is your safest bet; If you keep an eye on our website starting
the last week in May, it will tell you when picking starts; You can also
sign up for our mailing list for up to date emails about picking our
delicious strawberries!. Payment: Cash, Check, Debit cards, Visa, MasterCard.
Johnson's Farm Produce is a Produce Farm and Garden Center. Please note that
the only U-Pick crop that we currently offer is strawberries. We do farm
over 200 acres of produce and have it available in both of our locations
when it's in season. Our produce is picked continually throughout the day so
you always get fresh and delicious at Johnson's. Stop in and try our famous
sweet corn. We usually start picking it in early July and have it available
until the first heavy frost. You will not be disappointed! Please visit our
